Dragon-slaying makes school fun

Children at Oyster Park Infant School celebrated St George's Day in style with fun activities and dressing up.

Youngsters at the Ferry Fryston school were invited to wear red and white, an England sporting strip, or dress up as a dragon, St George or a princess for the day.

They also had a special school assembly and each class held a variety of events during the day, including making shields, baking buns, decorating biscuits, making flags, painting dragon pictures and drama work.

Head teacher Mandy Reather said: “It was a fabulous day, all the children loved and several came up to me to say thanks for making school such fun.”
